McBoo is a Canadian animator, whose Flipnotes mainly focused on comedy. He also occasionally made short animated music videos when he was on Hatena.
History[]
McBoo joined Flipnote Hatena in mid-2010. He hoped to learn the basics of animation and become recognized as a creator. He began drawing stick figures, and learned new animation techniques from other Flipnote artists. He took a lot of inspiration from Gizmo, but formed his own style as time went on. He eventually stopped using Boo characters, but continued to use stick figure designs.
McBoo's Old Icon in 2011
In late 2011, McBoo was having problems with the L button on his DSi. This stifled his ability to use the software, leading him to buy a DSi XL and begin uploading again in late December. McBoo posted his last major Flipnote on March 30, 2013, entitled Flipnote Finale.
In late 2015, McBoo started making Flipnotes again with the release of Flipnote Studio 3D. He has uploaded new and past Flipnotes to his YouTube channel and is currently working on continuing the Cliffhangers series.
Post-Hatena, McBoo has worked on 2D animated cartoons in the TV animation industry.[1]
